List Of Things To Bring For Your Gastric Sleeve Surgery In Mexico

Here is a list of things that I brought with me and things that I didn't bring and wish that I had!

- A spanish phrase book.  Do yourself a favor and learn a few words.
- Gas X strips (for the bloating).
- Pads/Tampons (your period may come early, even if you just had it).
- Comfy, loose-fitting clothes.  Don't bother with jeans or other restrictive clothing.  You will be swollen.
- A book or two to read while recovering or on your return flight.
- Entertainment of sorts: iPod, phone, etc.  Don't forget the charger!!!  You may need an adapter to fit the mexico outlets.
- Camera to document your journey.
- US money in small bills for tips.
- Slip on shoes and slippers for the hospital (you won't want to bend over).
- Bras without underwire (incision point along the bra line).
- Underwear, socks, etc.  (Don't bring too much stuff!!!!  You won't use all of it).
- Toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, hair ties.
- Travel size toiletries: shampoo/conditioner, face wash, hand cream/moisturizer, chap stick, deoderant.
- Baby wipes to freshen up.
- Your own pillow from home, especially if you have a special set up at home.
- Bring a sweater.  Even though it was summer in Tijuana when we went, I found after the surgery I was cold and ended up having to buy one.
- Eye mask and ear plugs.
- Tweezers.  I forgot mine and I had a few facial hairs that drove me InSaNe!!!
